6/30/2022:  GREAT NEWS!  We got a surprise large lot of Moderna vaccines for children under 5 today!!!  We are scheduling a clinic for tomorrow Friday, July 1, 2022 from 9am to 4:30pm.  If you would like your child to receive a vaccine, please send us an "Appointment Request" through MyChart (please note, do not send a message to the provider and please do not call the office). We will call you to schedule tomorrow's appointment.    

6/22/2022:  COVID Vaccines for Under 5 years:  We are continuing to work hard to obtain Covid vaccine for our 6mo to 5 year olds and started this process weeks ago.  Thus far, Berkeley Public Health has only provided us with 100 doses which we will be giving to our highest risk patients shortly.  If your child qualifies, we have already contacted you to set up this appointment. 

We have been frustrated with the lack of supply and poor communication from public health departments about the vaccine delivery. However, we anticipate more vaccine availability next week and will provide information about scheduling as soon as we get deliveries of vaccines.  

We will plan on offering 2nd and 3rd doses for those who get their 1st vaccine elsewhere.  We will be continuing to communicate with you via mychart messages with updates. Please do not call the office regarding vaccines as we need to maintain our ability to provide routine and urgent medical care.

COVID vaccines for Children

Updated 12/13/2021:

We are scheduling appointments for Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for both children ages 5 to 11 (pediatric dosage) and children/teens 12 and up (full dosage) by appointment only.  In addition to these primary 2 dose vaccinations, we are also now scheduling booster doses for teens aged 16 to 18 (adult dose).

If you are interested in scheduling a vaccine appointment for your child/teen, please send us a MyChart message with this request.  Please DO NOT call the office to request this unless you do not have a MyChart portal account--the front desk will be able to help you sent up this portal access.  We want to keep our phone lines open so we can provide much needed winter time care for our patients.   We encourage our patient families to sign up a MyChart portal account for each child as we will be using this secure email option to inform our families as we weather this COVID-19 pandemic.
